Great CCM worship song. Lots of atmosphere, layers, and huge dynamics. Yes, the entire first half of the song is synth sub bass, deep too! The last big chorus is bass guitar and synth sub bass so I use the BMS for that section.

I'm in line for "Rise of the Resistance"at Disneyland thinking how to setup my bassboard to get rumble from my bass and moog. I have a good plan… can't wait to test it out…. but it won't be shipped for a while..
Recent saw the lightspeed on Nick Edward's board I believe which had me intrigued. Lots of guitar reviews complaining about it having too much bass is a good sign 
What a coincidence! We played Who Else and I rode the Moog through Chorus 1 and then jumped to string bass. I can tell you it would have been awesome indeed.
The Tone Hammer isn't going anywhere. But to get the Mantle on an 18" board, I had to slim down. I took the THDI with me as a back up. If the pedal board dies or has issues, I can throw the THDI on the floor and be rolling with great tone, DI, and phantom power in a minute.

I forget how I came across the Lightspeed. I know there are a few people on TB who are using them. I think I just took a risk and went for it. It's odd because, that was after my huge OD shootout and I wasn't really in the market. Interestingly enough, that's how I came across the Luce too. I had no desire for another preamp/DI. But they are two of my favorites. Right now, I have the Cog 66 on my board because it's two channels and I like having the circuit in the chain with the Luce. I have the gain all the way down on channel one, and there is the very slightest touch of drive. I can't really hear the drive unless I'm using headphones, but I do like how the 'tone' and 'voice' controls affect the signal. The second channel sounds just like the first, but with drive. I don't know. I'm starting to like using the same circuit for clean and drive. It's pulls it all together. Of course, it's one of those things that noone will ever notice, but I think the sum of all those things might translate once all the little things are added up. It does in the in-ears at least. Does anyone else do that? I would love to have a dual channel Lightspeed with top jacks!
I played drums yesterday and it went pretty well. When the WL asks me to play drums, I get excited...then 2 days before the service I start thinking 'why did I agree to this.'
I don't get nervous on bass, but I do a bit when playing drums. On drums, I don't do a lot of fills or hits. I just try to play the basic parts in time. I would rather play drums with no bass, than play bass with no drums. I got some good feedback from the team and have some ideas that I can work on for the next time.

Can anyone recommend a stand for my Messenger? Preferable one that I can also attach ipad to.

In my shoot out between the new Morning Glory Clean and Lightspeed, I prefer the Lightspeed. It can do both lighter saturation and heavier drive, both in the transparent drive category with good low end retention. The MG Clean is really only for lighter saturation. Tilting the blend toward more drive signal thins out the lower bass. In my comparison I found they do share similar transparent drive styles and may gain stage together super well. Similar to your comment about a 2 channel solution with similar drive tones.
I'm borrowing (stole) my wife's keyboard stand to use with my Messenger. It was actually mine when I used it with my Yamaha DX7, which is now display only since the internal battery died.
Since I do portrait photography, I've invested in a lot of "Articulating Arm's" to use with my camera gear. They work great.. and are pretty cheap through amazon. I'm using it for my iPad stand... clamped on to my keyboard stand. I don't have my Moog Messenger yet, but this is my stand setup I'm going with....
I worked out my pedalboard to use an A/B switch to bypass all my pedals and output from my KHAN to mixer when I use the Messenger. So... both my bass and the Moog goes into one channel on my mixer... Hopefully this setup will workout so I can feel my bass, and my future Messenger through the bassboard. Tested the signal last night and seems to work.
I got his one, but to get it narrow enough to hold the Moog, it sits too high for me and does not feel super stable. I'm thinking a laptop stand of some sort might be better.

Basically, there is only one output from the KHAN to the mixer.
(A) bypasses all the effects, and goes straight to input of the KHAN, and...
(B) goes through the whole pedalboard chain... as how it was setup previously.

I built a Lightspeed clone from a PCB a few years ago. Probably could find someone that could put two in one box.
Mine has top jacks and sits on a spare board. Had my son paint the enclosure.

If FOH has a line available, I always recommend running the synth bass separately. For in ears and monitoring but also from a performance angle.
When I started using synth bass in worship some 20 years ago, I went the A/B route and it worked fine, but the two instruments are so dramatically different in where they sit in the mix and how you need to gain stage them (not to mention the responsiveness of the Moog filter and how it can cut the synth in and out like a volume pedal), it's best to run them separately if FOH can afford it.
The transition between synth and string bass can also be jarring to the ears and congregation. I use the filter, a pick under the keybed and some other tricks to essentially cross fade the synth and string bass in and out, or to layer them as the A/B switch can be rather abrupt and interrupt the flow of the tune.
Again, this is only if FOH has the space and willingness but it pays off if you can do it.
YMMV and just my $0.02 ...and obviously this doesn't apply to home setups and practicing.

I appreciate your input my friend. I will talk to pastor and see if this is possible. I agree its the best solution but I just hate asking for them to buy things.
I know we have space on the board since we are a relatively small church. I wanna say I've seen another xlr in the floor box but no idea if it has a run to board or not.

The A/B is mainly so I can get my bass and synth to work with the bassboard... which is why I put the disclaimer that it wasn't tested on the mixer/FOH yet. I got the bassboard working with both... but still not set on keeping both on one channel... which would be very convenient.. but still open to separate channels on the mixer/FOH side.
I have both the JHS A/B switch and the Boss LS-2. I recommend the LS-2. The JHS, while small and simple, requires a well timed stomp if you are moving from synth to bass quickly. Also, the LS-2 has volume adjustments to trim each input which is very handy. The LS-2 does a lot of other tricks, too. If you prefer the JHS A/B, shoot me a PM and I can make you a deal.
