Worship Bass Pedalboards

Served at student ministries today, always fun. A few pics attached:
- Keeping the load-in simple.
- Simple pedal board. Sound very good.
- Experimenting and learning compression instead of overdrive to help the bass cut through on driving sections.
- Played my Tim Marks bass, a Lakland Glaub.
- Got a new set of IEMs from Plunge, the more affordable Unity Dynamics. I like them better than my expensive molded IEMS?

The Mantle is getting harder and harder to resist....

It's nice… but definitely not necessary. I don't think anybody notices a difference between that or any other DI I've paired with the stomp.
Sadly I agree. Punters don't notice. I love my Capo after the HXS, but my MXR M81 with an amp sim in the HXS is pretty darn nice also and no one knows either way other than me and maybe the band listening with IEM.

Got to try a friends Mantle today. It sounded great and I loved the EQ. I wish we could put its eq into the Noble. The treble cut especially was just perfect. Other than the EQ I think the RNDI gives you the same transformer clarity thing it does. I missed the subtle compression and harmonics of the Noble playing through it. Different vibes but both good.

First post in this thread - is anyone else using the Keeley synth1? I use it for a square suboctave and it sounds great. Tracks all the way down to low e
Dude… I love this board (and the Edward's p bass!) Something different.
the cali76 is great (just gave mine to one of my best friends) and I like all the other compressors I've tried, but there's something about the Keely bassist. I miss it… except the stoopid bright blinding lights 🤣 looks like you did the whiteout treatment like I did when I had mine. Although, I never turned it up as high as you!

For now, I'm using the compressors in my hx stomp. But if I were to buy a compressor pedal, I think I'd get another Keely. One of my all time favorites, they just sound so good!

I love it too. Great job and love the dust treatment, so vintage bro! 😂😂

Got my P16-HQ today... so I'm doing a little solo practice with tomorrow's setlist, and learning how to route the P16 Ultranet settings on my X32 Rack.. so I can set it up quick on our home church X32 mixer. I used the older P16 version a decade ago... but didn't have the gear I have today. It sounds so much better now... could be the new version... but I love that I can pan and EQ each channel separately. I have ti going to my wireless rack, so I'm still fully wireless (Bass and IEM's).

I was asked to play at "The Rock"... mega church in San Diego, but declined mostly because it's Mother's Day... but I really wanted to play with the P16-HQ at my home church tomorrow. 😅

Hope everyone is have a good weekend... and those serving tomorrow... have fun!!!

Thanks!! The edwards p bass just feels so dang nice to play, I love it.

I use my keeley after the crossover, which is set around 200hz, it's crushing my lows and the mids/highs go through the big muff, the mxr chorus, the SV, and the IR loader instead. The wampler belle, the eq and the trippy dippy pedals are in front of the volume pedal and the crossover. The expression pedal is tied to the wet output of the superego, so heel down = 100% dry, toe down = 50/50 wet/dry

I'm going to try the DCX bass + RNDI combo next week instead of the Mantle and see how that goes. (My home church provides the RNDI.)

Second Sunday with the Lightspeed. It's amazing as an always on drive, perfect actually. Very amp like, similar to the Tone Hammer but smoother. Now I'm in a bit of a conundrum because the DCX was filling that always on role plus it has eq and more tone enhancement. What to do…
And just when I was going to get another Tone Hammer DI!

Ask Yoda (a.k.a. @projectapollo )!

Just sold my Walrus 385 MKii and am about to order the new Empress Drive…but now am leaning on trying the Lightspeed maybe stacked with the Southland. 😳
