Worst bass for metal?

Christian Olde Wolbers uses a double bass in Fear Factory, I think the song is edge crusher.

I used to get a lot of crazy looks for playing my MIM jazz in a metal band, but that was in the late 90's/ early 2000's when everyone had a 5 string Ibanez like fieldy.

I've never seen anyone play metal on a Carl Thompson.
 
In my day and age, metal was the opposite of Hello Kitty. I really have a hard time seeing Napalm Death or Slayer rocking those. But yeah, today's kids are a different breed altogether.

I dunno. I think it's just having a sense of humor.

I play in a black metal band and a doom metal band. Both have sometimes speculated about getting the Hello Kitty guitar, getting better parts put on it, and rocking the crap out of it. Because it would be hilarious.
