But Neil debunks that in this CNN report, saying the name-choice was merely a matter of scansion.

I can find something redeeming in most music. The two most reliable exceptions are Bob Seger and Neil Diamond. Which reminds me: Sweet Caroline. Please, god, no!

You could use your response to sing the trademark three note phrase. "Sweet Caroline, Please, God, No, Good times never seemed so good..." Fits perfectly!

Back to my obsessive distaste for Mr Diamond, besides the fact that his voice is like nails on a chalkboard (too bad kids won't know this now) to me, his "Girl, you'll be a woman soon" has always struck me as one of the top ten pedo songs of all time.
