K so, this my first post ever on this site, but here's my story. I started a band called monroes suicide. At which point we were entered into battle of the fans in las vegas to qualify for a even bigger event.

We had 1 recording session, 1 practice session, and then our show.
Now, I play hardcore and anything metal. I also play with a lot of disortion. Over the course of 4 months, we went from drop b, to drop a, and then drop c the day of the show. Its time for our show and we find out our second guitarist has been kicked out of the band.

When we finally got on stage, my guitarist gets up and says "follow my lead." We ultimately lost, but irecieved applause after the show and to be honest, I ad-libbed the entire show. I was also kicked out the day after the show.

Worst part is, the entire band was based from asking alexandria.

None of this makes any sense whatsoever.

You started a band and entered a battle of the bands, right?

Then, over the course of 4 months, you changed tuning 3 times, had 1 recording session, had one practice, and lost your guitar player, right?

Then, you got on stage and ad libbed an entire show for which you had 4 months to practice, right?

And then you got kicked out of your own band which was made of of members of another band, right?

The only part of this that made any sense was your last sentence.

But I could be confused.

Actually, none of it made sense. I'm still confused.

I got kicked out of the band that I started when the vocalist and guitarist took over. And no. I wasn't stoned or drunk. My vocalist kept me pretty much in the dark the entire time until he kicked me out

My 2¢:

Since some of us seem to be reading more into this, or attempting to read between the lines...

The OP wrote was brief, and implied: "I started (playing in) a band called monroes suicide."

cool story bro

+1 :D

Seriously though, I guess he was trying to say that the whole experience was a poorly planned and executed disaster. Much like the original post. ;)

O.P. Haters gon hate. If they dragged you through a show that you were forced to ad-lib, and then kicked you out without giving you any warning, you don't need them anyway. Maybe somebody at the show saw the decent job you did under the circumstances and you're on to the next band. Good luck.
