Worst Neckdive You've Experienced

Kramer "Duke" with an aluminum neck...

What's the absolute worst neckdive you've ever experienced in a bass? Today I went into my local pawn shop just to see what they had and there was this red cort 5 string with a musicman humbucker, big inline headstock. Not sure what model, anyway I don't own a 5 and it was really cheap so I thought maybe i would get it just to mess around with it. Hooked it up to my strap and put it on and the thing sank headfirst to the floor. Like it didn't just creep down, it dropped like a rock. Just surprised me how seemingly unplayable it would be (probably why it ended up in the pawn shop for 75 bucks)

Neck dive criticality is linked to his great the bass plays and sounds

Epi T-Bird. Kinda my fault though, I gutted it and wired it with one pickup and LPJ wiring, so there goes a bit of weight from the electronics. Then I threw strap locks on it but had to move the front strap button back almost two inches. The first time I put it on in that configuration I nearly broke the headstock on the floor... with the thing still fully strapped to me.

1970s Gibson EB-3 that my middle school had. That thing might as well have been an anti- compass; it always tried to point south... Wished I had their Ampeg flip top tube amp though.

Dang, I has two EB3 back in the 70s when I was a full time musician, never had an issue. I had a wide leather strap with laces around the outer edges, and maybe that’s why I didn’t notice it. My shirts were all stretched, and stained, but no neck dive that I can recall.

I KNOW. I wish I would've had one of those, but I just got tired of holding up that neck. I loved the bass, got good sound out of it.
