Fender Aerodyne. Unplayable as i had to support the neck with my left hand more than finger the notes. What's the absolute worst neckdive you've ever experienced in a bass? Today I went into my local pawn shop just to see what they had and there was this red cort 5 string with a musicman humbucker, big inline headstock. Not sure what model, anyway I don't own a 5 and it was really cheap so I thought maybe i would get it just to mess around with it. Hooked it up to my strap and put it on and the thing sank headfirst to the floor. Like it didn't just creep down, it dropped like a rock. Just surprised me how seemingly unplayable it would be (probably why it ended up in the pawn shop for 75 bucks)
I'm surprised by that, most owners report it as a heavy bass, you'd think the weight was in the body thus eliminating neck dive. I'm not challenging you on your observation. That was one heavy/neck headstock?

Ditto on the Embassy. Batwing headstock? Some were 2 x2.Mid-60's Epiphone Embassy. Worst ergos imaginable. What the hell were they thinking?
I used to use a short length of belt looped around my thigh and strap to cancel neck dive.My SX p bass. But to be fair it wasn’t so bad until after I changed to pickups, knobs, and bridge. I do the strap loop through my belt trick and it makes it tolerable.
On a side note, is neck dive something that manufactures even consider? I’m kind of shocked a brand as reputable as Warwick would have that issue. Seems like something you’d only find on cheaper basses.
