This was designed with someones specific needs in mind. Definitely not mine nor most of us here. So, no matter how well it might be built, it just isn't worth much to most people. I would make better use of the church pews it came from.

Would You Buy This Guitar Display Cabinet?

I'm thinking it was probably worth $1900 to the original purchaser and if you had one built custom I imagine it might cost that much as even simple custom woodworking is expensive.
However, it's such an odd set of elements for most folks that it's probably not worth it to anyone else beyond the original purchaser. By contrast, I bought an antique, glass front gun cabinet and modified it for two instruments for far less than what the piece in question cost.
Clearly it's smaller, but I think it's a much better use of space with a smaller footprint, more protective, requires no special installation or movers and is something many more folks would find useful should I someday sell it, which is a real possibility now that we've moved to a smaller home.

Reading about the oak being 100+ years old and then stained mahogany made me vomit in my mouth a little.
Oak is a beautiful wood in its own right. If you want wood that is mahogany colored, get mahogany.

nah..looks like a big clunky piece of old furniture. The guitar hanging bit seems like just an afterthought.
I wouldn't want it even for free.
Not for me. Too much of a decorative piece, not much functional value. The wood is pretty though.
Like that monstrosity grandma thinks is a priceless heirloom but nobody wants.

The room I keep my fun stuff in also contains a bunch of antique firearms, paintings on the walls, my sewing machine, a neat little custom made workbench usually occupied by a some guitar project or other, and stereo components. I have 10 instruments in there; 9 safe and sound in their cases, 1 wall hanger for whatever I'm currently playing, and 1 combo amp. The rest is in the attic. The room is stuffed. A display case like this one would take up too much space in addition to its other shortcomings.

In defense of the builder of that cabinet, the finish is just the name of the stain - Red Mahogany. It really doesn't make wood look mahogany-ish, IME.
When we did our gut renovation projects I tested a few different Minwax stains for both the quarter sawn white oak for the first floor and the red oak we used in the attic reno project. The Red Mahogany stain looked best, overall, comparing it to some vintage Stickley furniture we have (1903 - 1917 period).

So Anyway, I'm sure it's a very nice piece of furniture that could have other uses. And if it's used to 'display' a guitar collection, then the instruments are also becoming furniture.
If it's a museum piece, put it in a museum. If it's an instrument, play it.
