Would You Buy This Guitar Display Cabinet?

It's a homemade piece that requires 2 people to move it, must be bolted to the wall, holds 5 guitars/basses and the seller wants $1900 for it. I doubt he'll get that, if it even sells at all. Usually display cabinets have doors to protect the instruments from dust and keep them humidified. Might as well just buy a multi-guitar stand.

My opinion, it's priced at about 5 times it's worth.

No doors to keep them dust free and more "display" looking, no lights or anything fancy, and they hang at some odd angles. It's just not that special of a case.

Others may feel differently but that's my opinion.

Not even if it was BRW. Shame he went to all that rouble to make it with the wood that he did. At the very least he should have gone with nice quarter sawn white oak. And that mirror? Not even bevelled!

If you’re looking at something like that, check these out. Just FYI, if you do end up getting this and want the work bench topper, you need to make a spacer to lift the top up to accommodate it for bass length, works fine height wise for guitars/short scale basses as is though

Since I made a beautiful wall hanger for <$80 that serves the same functionality, nope!

1 nicely figured oak board
1 can stain
Lag bolt it to the studs
Now you’ve got a secure piece of wood to secure your guitar hangers to

Another woodworker here, nothing special about that cabinet, in fact its kinda amateurish. The design of it makes no sense to me. Hard pass.
