Double Bass Would you dye this fingerboard?

I was giving this bass a much needed fingerboard dressing. I had a feeling it was dyed. I wasn't expecting this amount of figure.
Tempted to leave it.

It gets a little bit darker after oiling.
I would like it a bit darker (maybe even a bit darker than oiled) but so that it still shines through.
