I really like how that was mixed. Modern guitar sounds (without overwhelming bass eq'd in) with an ever-present bass.
Vocals make me think of the child of Hetfield and Geddy (lol)!
If it's boutique it's not vintage
Alembic has only added more electronics options... They still offer their original Series I electronics

yeah, that's eddie pruitt's bass. he had that made when i had my 8's made - the fretboard is like them, cut from a piece of the neck blank.
that's a really sweet instrument - i've played it - it sounds really good.
