As a former resident of Santa Cruz I'm actually outraged. That could be any coastline anywhere in the world. SC doesn't look like that.

i don't get bass art unless it's skulls or hello kitty or an open casket. maybe flames. but a scenic landscape? that i don't get at all and i wouldn't spend any money on it. heck, we don't have landscapes on our walls, either.

If I knew for sure there was a really good-looking hunk of ash to refinish in natural oil under all that idiocy, I might give 10% of what they want for it if I was into P-basses. Hell, I might even give a grand. Seven? Not no, but hell no. I'd love to see what it goes for, and if it's anything like 7 grand I'd love to see the jackass that buys it. Ridiculous.

Absolutely not. As Ed Friedland once said (something like) "you don't need to spend a lot of money to get a good p bass".
