Pretty weird to hire a band for just two people. I'd be eeked out even in the past when life was still real.
As posted elsewhere: How to evaluate whether what you're going to do is risky. My own response: Outdoors, maybe. Indoors, no.
Sample from the text:
Birthday parties / funerals: Just to see how simple infection-chains can be, this is a real story from Chicago. The name is fake. Bob was infected but didn't know. Bob shared a takeout meal, served from common serving dishes, with 2 family members. The dinner lasted 3 hours. The next day, Bob attended a funeral, hugging family members and others in attendance to express condolences. Within 4 days, both family members who shared the meal are sick. A third family member, who hugged Bob at the funeral became sick. But Bob wasn't done. Bob attended a birthday party with 9 other people. They hugged and shared food at the 3 hour party. Seven of those people became ill. Over the next few days Bob became sick, he was hospitalized, ventilated, and died.
But Bob's legacy lived on. Three of the people Bob infected at the birthday went to church, where they sang, passed the tithing dish etc. Members of that church became sick. In all, Bob was directly responsible for infecting 16 people between the ages of 5 and 86. Three of those 16 died.

So many around here think it's over. The day businesses were allowed to open, traffic popped, people flooding in stores. I only go where I absolutely have to, and with a mask.
Too many in this area didn't take it serious anyway.
I would tread with caution on that one. I'm afraid we're going to have a similar situation coming up that was booked last year, and they are still planning on carry out as planned.
Just try to keep a safe distance from them. It being a barn there most likely is no air conditioning system which is major culprit in circulating a sneeze or cough.
It's a tough call. I'd cancel if you have any kind of weakened immune system or underlying conditions that could be compromised.

Sounds like there could be legal ramifications for you to do so, so no. But in principle:
If the stage is big enough for your guys to keep separation and you can maintain separation from the "couple" then I'd sure consider it if the pay was right. But you need to have everyone on board and not give anybody grief if they're not feeling safe about it.

You can almost guarantee there will be more than just those two people there. But, even if there weren't, no, I still wouldn't take the gig yet.
My band and the basement jams I play in haven't gotten together in over two months. I'm dying to start playing again, but I'm not going to risk actually dying to do it. Not yet.

Depends on who it’s for. There are a few people I’d play that gig for, not many but a few. Particularly the few that travel to see my bands play. There are three couples that regularly travel 2-4 hours to see us play. But if it’s just a friend of a friend type thing I’d want to get something else out of it. Either money or shooting some video for promotional purposes.
Tough call. Have you talked to the others in the band? Is anybody high-risk?

Do you have a singer? Do some research. Being anywhere near a singer is a risk. How far could spit fly?
