Would you........................?

Mahogany and ebony body. I'm guessing playing it would be like hanging a boat anchor around your neck. Yes, an attractive boat anchor, but still a boat anchor. Not worth $100 to me.

I just saw this on Reverb.
Nearly $10,000.00!
Specimen Products Luddite Six String Bass 2017 Natural Macassar Ebony and Mahogany

Although I like the Macassar ebony top, there's no cutout for upper register playing.
Skip the whammy and put on some Hipshot detuners
Still,I could have Stradi Symphony fretless and an N/S Stick for less that price.
Pass.
Nope, I won't! With 10K I'll pick much rather pick up a nice all original vintage 60s fender jazz/P Bass that will only increase in value over the years! Not to mention all the other great Basses out there at that price range!

5.F Bass
Etc.

No. I like the wood, but that's where it ends. Problems . . .

1. The tuners look very unstable.
2. Short-scale isn't my thing.
3. The lack of a cutout limits access to way too much of the range.
4. It's kind of annoying when people think what I am playing is a guitar . . . why would I contribute to that misunderstanding?
5. For $10k, I could be looking at a Fodera, Alembic, Wal, etc.
6. The thing actually looks pretty cheap.

i'm with most of those who have already weighed-in: no way! ;)

it looks really goofy to me...and, i'm not convinced any electric bass instrument is worth 10k --- especially for cats who really play!

also: it's not fretless, it's a SS, it's got a whammy bar, yada yada.
