Wrapped my bass

Also, can you seamlessly do the front and back of the bass?

Unfortunately, no.
And even if the vinyl could be streched and shrinked to do the horns and curves, which It can't due to physical limitations, you still would have one seam somewhere. Like on a can with paper or plastic label, since the vinyl comes in sheets.

"wrapped" this one myself for a special gig last fall, and decided to just keep it this way. It isn't perfect, but passed the "five foot test". I used vinyl sheet and electrical tape.

Man, I fully expected it to look stupid, and it TOTALLY doesn't. I think it came out great! I like simple, so I'd have left it black, but I think they killed it on that wrap. Awesome job.

That looks amazing! The Killing Joke is the best Batman story bar none and one of the best Superhero stories ever!

I have often thought about doing something similar with one of my basses! Yours is giving me something to think about!

So I decided to get my bass wrapped and being a bit of a Batman Fanboy especially The Killing Joke, there could only be one image for the wrap. The bass was originally a 1989 Ibanez SR800LE but had been modded with EMGX pups and a custom pick guard before I bought it.

The wrap is just the front of the bass and the back is still gloss black along with the headstock and neck.

I appreciate it might not be to everyone's taste but then life would be boring if we all liked the same thing. The wrap is also very easy to take off if I ever sold it.

Excuse the wallpaper but we rent and the landlord likes it........very 80's and don't tell him that I've drilled holes in the wall for guitar mounts.

No offence taken. I know it won’t be to everyone’s taste. It does however protect the original finish from being damaged any further and is fully reversible.

That's pretty badass, where did you have it done and how much did it cost. Sometimes I'll buy another P-bass because I like the color and bored with my other ones let me re phrase that I've bought the same bass or two because of the color over years not every time i see a color I like, I wish I had that kind of dough. This would solve that problem for me if it's not too expensive skys the limit as far as colors and themes go, great idea.

it was done by a vinyl wrap company in the UK. Cost would equate to about $100.

A mate of mine did some more professional photos for the wrapping company to use on their website.
