Yea, by that point the strap is all crusty, indestructible or not....those watches are kinda meant to be disposable.

Breitlings are real nice watches, you buy it once, ya know? For life....

I tend to bang my watches up a little too easily, but I have a couple Fossils now, a nice Nixon, and a squareface Relic my Wifey just got me recently...it's nice and does the job.

I thought the same thing, but really, a new lithium battery is gonna run around 10 bucks, and you're already halfway to a brandy new shiny watch....

Personally, I'd go battery over new, but to each their own...7 years for 30 bucks isn't too terrible tho, eh?

I can't stand to wear them, and I don't see the point. I'll take a pocket watch any day, which my cellphone handily doubles as.

Yeah, mon! although they won't stop working, the markings fade, the plastic gets scratchy, and the instructions for the type of battery needed and how to open the back are long gone. If they were expensive, I'd easily make the effort, but with the feature creep, a newbie is more attractive option.

A photo of my Tissot PRS 200- lots of bang for the buck in a quality swiss watch, but not ridiculously-priced like the status symbol watches...

Mine's a Timex Expedition with Indiglo. Have had it for around 8 years. It's seen better days though. I'll probably try to find another watch like it as a replacement.

As you can see by the picture above, my watch resembles something in a much higher price range.

Automatic movement, sapphire crystal face, swiss movement, costs $100. Obviously not as nice as a Rolex, but for someone needing a nice watch, these are almost disposable at thier price. The watch has lasted 5-6 years and it still looks just as nice and keeps time within a few seconds a day. Not the most accurate, but that's not why I got it.

I'm currently sporting an Invicta my mother-in-law gave me.

Here's what I wear to work most days:

My casual watch is an Ironman Triathalon with a rubber strap that i have had for about 10 years, and it is getting a little funky. So I just ordered this one to replace it:

We'll see how it works out. I always have a watch on. I don't trust anyone who doesn't wear a watch!!!

I have a Breitling Navimeter that I got in Italy. I also have an Omega that was given to em on my wedding day by my father in law. Other than that I have two Victorinox watches. One I bought, One I found. ANd then I have a Iron Man that I used to wear when I was a runner. But I don't wear any of them. About a year or so ago I developed a thing about jewelry. Cant stand to wear watches or anything now.
