I had 2 very nice evenings last week with my 2 bands. I decided to call a jam/food/beer evening with both of them, and asked the guys (and/or their GF's) to impress each other with fun appetizers that we could eat here and there all evening long, along with some beer and wine.
Did a small jam, then a beer, and then one after the other, they prepared their food they brought. I was the only one that actually made something. They all brought semi decent frozen bites 20 min at 400 type of appetizers. I made mushroom caps filled with ham and cheese filling (band 1) and seafood mix in white wine sauce on miniature pastry (band 2). It was still a very nice evening. It just got me thinking that it's true, we often talk food at work, but just about never with bandmates. Are musicians usually not so great cooks?
Hmmm
