Double Bass Xeros pin orientation

Does anyone have hints on how to change the orientation of the flat spot on a Xeros wheel pin? Looks to me as though I need to unscrew the lower nut a but, but my pliers jam against the sides of the structure holding the wheel & I'm unable to turn them. Feel I must be missing something obvious...

Can't you just rotate the whole thing 180 degrees so the flat area is facing the endpin socket screw?
I'm trying to figure out the problem.
(sorry never had such a wheel)
When the end pin socket screws is facing the flat area the wheel sits at an angle to the body of the bass. It's really hard (for me) to roll it when the bass doesn't line up with the direction I'm trying to go...

Ok, and the endpin screw is on the left side of your bass I suppose?
It's usually on the right side, so I guess that's the reason for your problem.
Nope, on the right side (looking at it from the back, that is). The flat spot on the wheel pin is not oriented exactly facing the side of the wheel, I just need to move it so the ending screw is perpendicular to the wheel.
