Xsonics Club

Count me in. I just had my first band rehearsal with my 212cf and blew the boys in my band away ( LITERALLY ) actually I was able to lower my volume level of my head quite a bit in comparison to the last cab I was using .one of my guitarist has an axe fx running through a 400 watt powered pa speaker and my other guitarist is running through a Marshall half stack , and I had absolutely no problem being heard. I am running this cab with a GK MB800 for now but just ordered a genz benz shuttle 9.2 to change things up a bit. All I can really say is that I am quite amazed this cab really does have the output of a 4x10 and more of a genz benz neox 212 tonal character. This band I was playing in today does a lot of newer tunes like cross fade and breaking Benjamin , which puts me down in the deep end so to speak .lots of c# and b work and very fast to boot but the articulation of this cab doesn't loose a beat . I am going to try and work up a full review of this cab and pass the word , hearing is believing !!!!!!!! And I'm not keeping the shipping box.THIS CAB IS DEFINITELY NOT GOING BACK I KNEW THAT IN THE FIRST 10 minutes

Welcome to the club Johnnybass!! They do sound great and have fantastic low end articulation. I have not tried out my 5 string on my 2155 yet but anticipate it being all kinds of fun.

Since you are using a Steamliner, 215 xsonics and a 5502 just as myself I thought I would ask where you have set the dip switch mid setting on your 5502? I'm just curious is all. When I got the 2155 I moved mine from 275 to 500hz and like the results with this cab. Or should I say "this monster cab"..

I have mine in 500 also. 5502 eq controls all 75%, mid position on toggle, mid detente on pickup blend. SL mid preq set on 220 with mid vol on 2:00. Bass on 1:00, treble on 2:00.

Wow, you're running the Streamliner bass at 1:00 I bet you can feel that B string through your feet! Very cool, I have always cut a bit there but in some rooms I can get away with more than others. I am competing with two guitarists that are running their rigs a little too bassy though forcing me to slot myself a little more mid range. With the Xsonics I might just blow them off the stage and fix that whole problem.......

I'm in! :)

The 212CF is at church, but here's a basement party pic of the first prototype Xsonics 208CF. I had two spare Faital 8PR200's kicking around, and after talking with Nick, we figured "why not?". :D

This little cab rocks! In direct comparison with my GK MB115, the 208 (with an identically set MB200) was just as loud, and has a way punchier sound. It does give up a little on the sub-lows...but the MB115's cab volume is about triple the Xsonics. ;)

You can tell how small this cab is, when a MB200 looks like a standard sized micro. Even the tiny Tubeworks 1x10 is bigger. :D

Anyway, great cabs, and Nick is just a pleasure to work with. :)
