I hear ya on that tweeter, I think it is the smoothest I have ever used. I turned mine all the way up Saturday night on my 2155 and it sounded great. I never ever turn a tweet all the way up, usually nearly off.

no worries...there are more running them now. My Modern country gig is basically an 80's hard rock band. All is good, I am sure some here can fill in the blanks. The other thread was shut down because people can't stay on topic.

I'll be A/B'ing my two 2155CF's against four D210XST's this weekend, using a WT-1205 amp and a Gretsch bass. I'll let you all know the results next week.

I bought the Xsonics 212CF but only after I tried 3 different Xsonics flavors. I played a Sunn 215 for many years and the 215CF could easily go louder, deeper and tighter with my 5 string than 2 Sunn 215's or the Ampeg fridge I used to own. You get 72 hours. Y not try one for yourself. Just sayin'

Maybe this thread can stay intact. I think there was blame all around over there. There will be need to compare cabs together, and there will be need to understand why someone wants to know a reason when "outperforms" is mentioned and that is extremely cool. I personally encourage it because I always like to know those things when shopping for any equipment.
I like my 2155 because it has a massive punch and low end articulation. It gives me that sense of power and headroom like my peg810 but goes lower (never played the Sunn 215). That "palpatine" moment mentioned somewhere back. Kirk, not sure how loud you would want to get, but you mentioned liking to push a cab close to limits - I think you would have to push hard with the 2155 though you might have the shows big enough to do just that. I second the trial period, it is a relatively inexpensive way to give a good test drive.

I hope it stays open...I try to remain open minded but I don't take to people stirring a pot that doesn't need to be stirred. I make videos to try to lend sound ideas of capability and general tone possibility.

Ive been on IEMs lately and only using 115 Uber.. and that has been fine now

Without a doubt, an 810 cab is absolutely nothing to sneeze at. I'm not an old worn out man, but I no longer want to pack around something that size and weight, especially if I don't have to. I'm pleased as punch that my amp in a bag at 6lbs plus a 48lb badass 215 cab can knock walls down with a terrific sound. Fortunately, I haven't had to work with any nutty geetar players lately, but if I do, I can bury them with a smile.
