Fellas, I just found a Yamaha BB5000A for sale locally and I was wondering what it's worth? The bass is clean, this one is a metallic purple, all original with the original case. Waiting to hear back from him/her regarding the exact details (condition, bottom line on the price, etc) I don't want to overpay, just like the next person, I'm hoping to get a deal on it.. What's a good deal?
I've not played it yet, I do see nothing but great reviews.. I need a solid bass to sit in for my main which is a Warwick Streamer II 5. I have been beating the poor Warwick to **** using it daily for practice and jam sessions etc. I need to give it a break and find something that will sit in nicely to be played on a daily basis.. I figure I'll save the Warwick for recordings and live venues, it's seeing too much wear and tear used as a jam bass.. It's my understanding that the Yamaha has a wide neck, which is a negative for me, the Warwick neck is all I know for the past 15 years (this is the 3rd one I have owned) I suppose I can adjust to the wide spacing if the price is right.. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance..
