I did a search and found nothing on the new Yamaha CBR series :atoz: I know talkbass loves the Yamaha club series but what about the CBR series?

I am close to looking for new mains and the club series is really hard to get in Canada. But axemusic.com has the CBR12 in stock.

I have a couple of the CBR12's
Basically club series with "bass response".
I use 'em for monitor duty, not mains which is why I went with the CBR v's clubs.
Did use them once for mains in an in-the-round setting.. 4 x 12" top pointing to 4 corners.
They were loud and worked great.

I have a pair of the DBR12'S, which are the powered version of the same speakers, and I love 'em. I use them for mains, for monitors, I've used one as a bass amp. I've been thinking about some of the passive ones to use as floor monitors in situations where I'm using a power amp on the monitor mixes.

Well, everyone who replied seemed positive and nobody said they sucked, so I ordered one to try.

However, a gig fell through and now I won't be able to try it till August 1. Let's hope I get something in July.

I actually ended up buying another one. And did get to use them August 1.

Everybody, audience and band, commented on how much better we sounded.

For this gig our drummer DJs between sets and it sounded great. Before we had to crank the monitors to get a better sound. Now, I turned off the monitors for the DJ rig.

Very happy with the results.
