Yep - the 3000MA is my first choice when I'm playing live...

The BB714 is my second "weapon" for songs where you are playing fivestrings normally....

EDIT: What's the control layout on that?

It's volume, blend, 3 band EQ and a switch that either turns on or off the mid cut...the knob nearest the bridge controls the mid frequency the is boost or cut.

Can I join? I have a natural finish BB1100S in incredibly good shape (except for heavily tarnished tuners) that I just picked up. What kind of birthdate with serial # LJJQ003 Made In Japan stamped in back of headstock?

This one's actually sharing time with my MM Sterling in a small studio right now...the "P" on this beauty sounds more "P" than the studio's '78 "P"! Trying to post a pic...I'll figure it out. Do I get a number yet?

According to Yamaha CS: Born on 05/31/1985 (#3 made that day) with MSRP (then) $779, alder body...

Alrighty then...

Here's my new 1983 BB-1000S that just showed up yesterday courtesy of fellow TB'er SWPYNE. I have not had much time to play with her but OH MY!!!! Just plugging it in and tuning it up I can tell I have a keeper. The neck through is dead sexy and along with my Ibanez SR900 I think I now have a few of the best production neck throughs ever made!!!! Thanks Spencer for making me a very happy camper!
