Yamaha s12e speaker cab....plywood or mdf?

I think all Yamaha unpowered speakers are MFD… I could be wrong, though. If you’re talking about the “Club” speakers, yes, MFD.
That said, unless 43lbs is an issue, they’re pretty rugged.
I personally wouldn’t go any cheaper for PA application, but they’re a good value.
I’ve used C115IVs (“C” just means coated instead of rat fur) and now C115Vs (old ones now used in the music studio) and structurally they’ve held up very well.
I kinda wish I had the 12”; those 15s are heavy beasts…
