I don't think that's a TRB. It has too few knobs, and the body form is a bit off.Do I get to join? Some folks on this board have said that they believe that this is an old TRB faked out with Gretsch knobs and a Gretsch headstock. Does it pass?
I have one. Playability is excellent. The neck is narrow at the nut end, and widens toward the bridge. It has a smooth satin finish on the back which feels very comfortable. The inherent tone is bright and clean, and the EQ is powerful. I set mine flat and use a Sadowsky outboard preamp for tone shaping, because I like its EQ points better. The bass is made in Korea.Anyone know anything about the TRB 1005 series? Nice looking bass but don't know about playability and sound or where it is made. Bill
