Yamaha TRB6 PII OR warwick corvette bubinga 6??

Hi all! :)
I am between these two bassess cause i found both of them in the same price.. The warwick is one of the German made ones.. model is some years old, note sure how many.

The Yamaha is old enough.. looks like the bridge is different that the model currently available but its still a PII.

Which one would you choose, and why? For what kind of music?
:bassist:

I mostly play rock/metal but that doesnt mean its all that matters to me :)

I have owned a bubinga corvette and currently own a yamaha trb-6 JP1. Was never overly impressed with the Warwick, but the Yamaha flat out kills. Here's why, the Warwick was extremely 1 dimensional and VERY heavy. The yamaha had a much faster neck, extremely versatile, not nearly as heavy, fits me better(with no neck dive), and I prefer the look.

Yeah, The Yamaha is a Fantastic instrument. Would you incorporate the peizo bridge? which is a big factor to the asking price. You could possibly try the TRB 1006 which is a great bass too although not as "butique" as the Pii or maybe try the the JP2. Don't really know much about the Warwick as I've never used one. Whatever you feel comfortable playing and if it makes you feel good.......Buy it!! :-))

well.. since i cant play both before getting one of the two (one of them is located 100s of kms away) i decided on getting the yamaha.. :)
I will have it tomorrow to do the first tests :D

thanks for commenting guys! i appreciate it!
