Not mine, but I saw this headline from Best Bass Gear's newsletter (catalog).



Funny how he's not sure if this is a real Fender, and that "Man, its old. It's like from the 70's or something!"

I wouldn't have put poly on the rosewood tug bar or truss rod cover (! and he wonders if its a real Fender !?). That wood is so oily that the finish will likely not adhere and flake off in pieces down the road.

I would of went with a blade pickup rather then have the 6 pole strat magnets.

I used one of those Chinese pre wired pickup arrangements on a Kalamazoo KG1 guitar until I can find the right parts. I can't believe how good it sounds as the whole lot cost about £3-50 (around 5 dollars). Don't think I'd have used it on a bass though.
