If the top is padauk, I've worked with that wood before and found it a little brittle. Where they have the cutout for the Jack I'd be tempted to let a little bit of thin super glue wick into the edges from the underside to harden up the edges. Probably not necessary, but I could see it getting a little beat up over the years with cables going in and out all the time.

It's a great looking one of them. I've seen a few of these where the front wings weren't well matched and/or the back parts weren't matched well. This one has both sides well matched, so I'm blessed. It arrived from the Reverb seller with a broken preamp but I've since fixed that issue.

Good advice on the superglue. I'll see how it looks when I get it and if I even can. If it's like the blonde bass I pictured the wood isn't raw but coated in a satin poly, so I wouldn't be able to wick anything. It it's an oil finish then I'll do the wicking.
