Honestly, every time I see a yellow bass, I think "why aren't there more of these?"
Non-musicians who see yellow basses have a positive response to them.
I guess when the bigger guitar companies do focus groups, they don't get into this color area.
Otherwise, they'd surely be told: do more yellow.
When I saw the OP's photo of a yellow Ferrari or Lambo or whatever it is, all I could think of was the dealership scene in Zero Dark Thirty.

This '71 was refinished in a slightly aged white, but 45 years have rendered it banana yellow.

In my life I passed on two basses that I regret passing on:
That one, and, just a year after I started playing in 1998, my local brick and mortar Musicians Friend had a new metallic orange Earnie Ball five string Bongo bass for $799. I kick myself every time I see one of either of those. (I started out on a fiver)
My apologies, just making sure I follow are you saying you saw a Bongo at a Musicians Friend Brick and Mortar store in 1998?
Or are you referring to “That one” in 1998?
