Yet another first build post

I've finally done it - I've actually routed a truss rod channel. I have been so paranoid about this for ages, but now that I have done it I found that it worked like a charm.

For those of you that have done many of these you are likely chuckling at me, and understandably so.

Now I do have a question - I haven't seen any posts on just where to put a truss rod - ie. how close to the end of the neck do I dare put it.

I just by-guess-and-by-gollied it to here

Does this look reasonable?

Should I push it back a bit further?

Any advice would be most welcome.

Once I get this settled I will route the carbon fiber recesses - any advice on how close/far those should be from the truss rod channel?

Thanks all.
