I voted sweet, hot sweet preferred, and no regrets BUT I like both. In Garrettsville OH (in rural Portage County, NEOH) there's a farm that has packed their own pickles for decades, since the 30s, and they are my fave dill pickle. My brother even worked there in high school in the early 70s. Don Hermann and Sons. I can get them down here in Canton OH but they may not be available everywhere.

Highly recommended. That's probably the original label too. They make their own sauerkraut too but that's another divisive issue.

Mmmm, sauerkraut. I love it. Just give me a bowl full of kraut and a fork, and I'm happy.

Oh man, years ago I worked with a guy who made his own and sold it, 2 lb bags for 5 bucks. It was not made the traditional way but fermented somehow. Very crunchy right out of the bag and the taste is unbelievable. So tonight I find this. | Green Field Farms
I know, expensive. but how many times a year do I do sauerkraut? Was worth it.
Funny story, I guess, but when my wife, in the beginning of the relationship, and I discussed food I told her that sauerkraut was one of my faves. She made it (she is a phenomenal cook) and didn't like it so much. Second time--yep she gets it and actually improves on the recipe. Made it with apples, potatoes, carrots and Porter and of course caraway seeds then broils it for 10 min to finish it off. Ah good times. Peace to you, stay safe.
