Yet another "Is this legit" thread

Home owners' insurance and a good security system are essential if you have expensive gear and electronics.
I might be more careful if I had a lot of expensive gear for them to see. I limit their visit to one room, where the item for sale is, along with anything needed to demo it. My collection is in another room. I don't give them the tour and my home entertainment system is not worth their effort.
Parking lot exchanges don't facilitate proper inspection, and scammers can make a quick getaway with no place to take the cops if you get burned.
I vet prospective buyers with casual conversation. If something feels wrong, I don't want to meet them in a parking lot any more than I want them to come over, so I call the deal off. I've been held up in a parking lot before. I've also driven to the meeting place and been stood up. Call the slacker dude back and he says "ahh, my ride didn't make it ... it's all good man ..."
No more meet ups for me. Maybe at a friendly retail establishment.
I've got watchful neighbors and less to lose, so to each his own.

My office is a mile and a half from my home, I usually meet people there for CL transactions then someone else is present, things can be demoed, and none of my other gear is present. Win Win Win.

Wow...TB is turning into a "Justice League". Between this and the Seattle scammer we're all in Neighborhood Watch mode.

8) :D

TB is awesome, we need a theme song and a nick name for the in-house justice league here.

I wouldn't be surprised if next were easily solving international conflict from country to country.
Were gonna need to start thinking about a fleet of fighter jets for when the next CL scammer misbehaves, we can call in an air strike. :-)

I almost got scared when I heard that bass was for sale, especially after John has already been made aware that it's supposed come to me.

John said I could have it and that he's enjoyed it long enough, and then I woke up all pissed off because I thought it all really happened. :(

It would be undeserved given the fact that the post is still up.

Can't believe there aren't more willing the flag a phisher using pics of a documented bass. Sad, really. :hmm:

They all say there flagged for removal for me, and have all day so far.

Which one is still up?

Ahh...

It was in cache. Good going, gang!

Hey, you can't get off that easy, I smelled the stench of doubt within you.

I think it's only right you take on the responsibility of the TB hero's theme song, or at least a cool logo the commissioner can shoot into the sky at night when a scam needs dealing with.
