it would be cool if someone has some comments about this pedal. I've been watching some YT demos of this pedal and it sounds pretty cool on guitar... even for a 'digital distortion' pedal.

It's been a few months now, has anyone played this pedal yet?

I tried it today at the local store. When I said I was looking for a bass fuzz, the guy got this mad scientist look in his eyes and started throwing me all the new dirt pedals they had not tested on bass yet.

One of them was the DA-2, and I have to say I was quite impressed. It's just like it says on the box : high-clarity sound. Even with the A-Dist knob maxed, the sound is still very articulate and clear. I'd say it goes from "light OD" to "quite fuzzy indeed". The two band eq seemed to make sense on the bass. Definitely not a low end beast though, but I can see it cutting through in a band situation due to very little muddiness. All in all, a surprising little box you should check out if you like your dirt clear and controllable.

I wish I could try it a bit longer, but it was their last one and someone had already purchased it and was waiting for it. I was playing my Sandberg California TM5 (with and without preamp) on an EBS reidmar + EBS classic 410.

I never even thought about trying this pedal on bass...they have a used one at my local guitar center...maybe I should try it

Awesome clip. this clip would be very helpful for those who are curious about how certain boss distortion pedals sounded on bass.

Listening to that clip on laptop speakers was, in retrospect, kind of worthless, though I did notice some differences. And there were a few surprises, including (IIRC) the Power Stack.

The Adaptive Distortion idea is interesting. For all of the disrespect Boss gets, I do think they are still out there innovating, and a lot of their stuff sounds pretty good.

I've recently become a big fan of boss...I know they're digital and all but with the amount of options their pedals offer it's hard not to find at least one good sound
