Yet another satisfied Hartke customer...

Got mine for $297 brand new from zzounds.com, free shipping, no sales tax. It was delivered in 2 business days. That's probably the best deal I ever got.

Mr Glen...

I just called ZZounds.com today to pick up on one these Lh1000's for the price you stated you purchased yours for and they told me there is NO WAY they could sell at that price unless it was a factory second or a damaged item.

So if you could give me the name of that rep at ZZounds who sold you a BRAND NEW LH1000 for $297... I would gladly and immediately call and order one!

I went to the music store that I deal with in Milwaukee today (3 1/2 hours one way) to exchange my Mesa Titan that has been giving me issues. I ended up going with a Mesa M9 Carbine. The reason that I am posting on this forum is because the Jeff Coffin Band was giving a clinic at the store (Cascio Interstate Music - New Berlin , WI). The band was using the music stores equipment and the bassist (Felix Pastorious) was playing a Fedora Monarch through a Hartke LH1000 and a Hydrive 115 cabinet. All I can say is that Felix is an INCREDIBLE bassist (Totally blew me away!! My jaw is still on the floor hours later) and he sounded awesome through the Hartke rig. I am definitely going to pick up some of their CD's in the near future. Jeff Coffin plays Saxaphone in his band and also has played with Dave Mathews since 2008 when the original Sax player passed away. I recommend checking out this band and bass player if you appreciate musicianship.
That said - If I decide to go a different direction from my M9 - Hartke will definitely be my next stop. They are so reasonably priced that I may get one anyways for a back-up or to change things up once in a while.

Coffin also plays with -- Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. Including a Mr. Victor Lamont Wooten. Who also uses a Hartke setup.

Hearing him and Victor together is quite a treat. Vic's Hydrive cabs sound fantastic.

Didn't know about Felix Pastorius. Sounds like a great player to check out.

I'm thinking he got the lh500 for that price. The quote he commented on mentioned both models but he didn't say which one.

Just purchased my LH1000 on Saturday and should have it in a week or so. Gonna be running it with my 4x10 XL until I can pickup the Hy-Drive 8x10.

I've gone to 2 Hartke clinics in the last month or 2 and seeing 3 different bass players (Ellefson, Bello, Wooten) play through the Hydrive and the sound that came out of these made me need to have one for myself.

Go Hartke!

I'm sure you will be happy with it. I love mine! So does our soundman.

I'm also a HARTKE fan...thanks LH!! I play my MTD 635 (535 on the way) through the LH1000 and Hydrive 410/115 (Yup the Wooten set up) Phenominal tone! I play mostly Gospel and I'm in love!!! Maybe I'm not too smart though...when I rund the amp in bridge mode and daisy chain the speakers together the volume and tone blows everyone away. Thanks Mr. Hartke for making such a great product so affordable....is there a Hartke club? How do I get a number?

Well, if you're blowing everyone out, you could run the amp stereo and then use the balance knob to balance the output of each cab. Could be a win win situation.

Long time Hartke player here (3500 head and 410-XL cab) and just want to say I am much loving the current "resurgence" of Hartke on the scene. I have never been able to figure out why slagging Hartke has been so popular in the bass community the past few years. Larry's a great guy who sets the industry standard for customer service, and his products (in particular his cabinets) flat-out rock and especially for the money. If/when the economy allows I will definitely be upgrading to a Hydrive cabinet and possibly giving one of the new Hartke heads a try as well.

Way to stay the course Hartke, and keep it up.
