Yo Aguilar, where's your Micro????

hey everyone...particularly Aggie fans, any of yall think the should put out a micro amp??? like a smaller, lighter verson of the AG 500. or basically the Tone Hammer preamp with a class D power section and the other bells and whistles???(thermal fan, mute switch) id say they could go for like $600 or $650..like five pounds. i think it would compete well in the market. theres alot of Aggies fans like me out here.

kinda funny, but i LONG gave up on the micro stuff, and my first stop was aguilar.

and, i've been schlepping around my sa200 for months now, and have been looking for a nice deal on a 750.

after a while, realizing that nothing else sounds like real iron.

Well Spencer, IMO if i can get the same quality sound and volume out of something thats a whole lot lighter, then why not? I mean as bassists we already have to worry about carpal tunnel, why should i have to worry about a bad back for years of hauling around a "fridge" rig. besides, when dealing with gigs nowadays, you go right through soundboards anyway, making your big rig just a personal monitor. The wise man is a "REAL" man...

I like my LMII way better than any big iron SS or hybrid I've used. Having said that, I've never tried a DB750 or 751. So someone give me one and I'll try it.

The old days of transporting a HEAVY bass rig to and from practice and gigs are over. I welcome "Micro Heads" and "Neo Cabs" with open arms.

Being a "REAL MAN" and carrying my Hartke 4.5XL cab by myself landed me under the knife to fix a hernia.

There are quite a few reasonably sized rigs that lie somewhere in between a Fridge and, say, a Shuttle/Berg AE210 weight wise... that said, I do think much more could be done with all the decent neo's out there and lighter cab technology......

I wont lie I have a LMII and I NEVER bought it because of its size, its all in the ton but its on ebay right now as Im hoping to get the DB750, played one and all I can say is.. Its got balls, its crazy the tone you get with a tube amp, Im a believer.

Its hard to believe that lifting cabs gives you guys hernias and back problems.. Honestly the cab isn't nothing compare to what I do at work, the things I lift or pull for that matter.. I was born with a hernia, and if lifting a cab puts you in the hospital, then.... Well, theres nothing else to say.. I hear too many stories of cabs and back problems.. Please people tell me thats not the hardest part of your week moving a cab? Where have all the MEN gone?

The heaviest rig I ever had was a 30+ lb pre/power rig. I now have a MarkBass F1. Better tone, portability, and enough volume to cover most gigs. And I'm not really questioning my masculinity because it weighs 5 lbs.

I'm hoping my LMII thats en route and my Tone Hammer are friends, and make a pseudo- micro aguilar. Because Aguilar stuff sounds dirty dang good, and I want to ride a bicycle to some gigs and practices.
