Yorkville TC112 cab - seen one yet ?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by jimfriar, Jan 13, 2009.

  1. Has anyone seen the new Yorkie 112 cab yet ? Looks like it may be a good small gig/jam standalone cab - with a Celestion Neo speaker - but my local LandM doesn't have one yet.

WOW! I didn't know they had a single 12" cab. I'd love to try 2 of those with my XS400 head!
Maybe I'll swing by L&M here and see what they know.

Is it a Yorkville or a Traynor?

Thanks for the link. I managed to find it on the Traynor site yesterday. I wish Traynor would be consistent and either post the weight for all their products or not at all.

I see the combo is supposed to be about 47 lbs. I'm just assuming the head weighs about 12 lbs, so the Traynor cabinet would come in about 35 lbs. Not exactly a real lightweight but better than what they've managed in the past. I liked it when Yorkville used poplar plywood for their cabinets. They were a bit lighter.

I'm going to try to get out to my local L&M next week to try the combo out and see if they have an extension cab in stock.

The real test will be how does it sound? It'll be interesting to see if the Celestian neo is a good speaker.

Wow, that's pretty good. It's looking very attractive to me and my back. That's the same weight as my GK combo.

This could be a winner for Traynor if it sounds good and can stand up to a bit of power.

I can say it's very eagerly anticipated round here! Expect them to be scarce especially at first. There's a stack at NAMM right now if anyone is going.

I really wanted to get the TC210 cab, but it just wouldn't fit in my car! It was also a bit heavy to drag around from jam session to jam session.

Now 2 x TC112's should fit in the back seat, and be lighter!

    Hmmmm......stoopid GAS!

Thanks Rev. That's a decent price for a lightweight Neo 1x12 in Canada. I'm trying to arrange to come in on Tuesday if I can. My wife has the car but I'll try to pull something off. If not then, as soon as possible.

The combination of the 300T and the TC112 could be a nice wide range sound.

Thanks for all the help Rev.
