Yorkville TC112 cab - seen one yet ?

Rev--It would be good to find out which speaker they used in the extension, although there's nothing we can do about it. I doubt you could easily switch one for the other. There is also the cost of such a swap to consider.

If you get a chance to try it with the little GK I'd like to know what you think.

If green=warmth that is good.

I am also interested in how the little GK mb[] 500 sounds with the TC112 as this may be my new mini-rig-of-doom setup.

btw, did I hear correctly that L&M is having a 50% off sale on Fri the 13th?? Good time to get a TC112!!

No! No!

There are two sets of greens

1.BL12-200x Ferrite mag = 200/watts

2.BN12-300x neo mag = 300/watts

Hopefully the TC112 will have BN12-300x green..

No that's not true, BN12-300X is rated @ 300 watts. Look further down the page.

Oh, good...I'd forgotten about the different Greens being available since I'd been interested in the Oranges...I play less and less rock gigs these days and had thought that the Oranges would be a better fit for the majority of my gigs, but the Greens blew everyone away on the gig I used the "12 Stack!"

Are you using the Traynor head or the GK Rev?

Depends on the gig. I use the DB300T with a custom 2x12 cabinets most of the time now, but I'm experimenting with the GK NEO1001/212 as it's a little easier to move around.

There's pros and cons to both rigs, unfortunately a 2x12 combo isn't going to happen soon with Traynor, so I looked at the next best thing in the interim, since it's a Yorkville distributed product and I like to keep it in the fam. as mush as possible.

Darn! I was hoping the DB300 & TC112 would be using the orange Celestion 12" since it is 4db more sensitive than the green:

BN12-300X (green): Sensitivity 95dB, Frequency Range 40-3000Hz
BN12-300S (orange): Sensitivity 99dB, Frequency Range 50-4000Hz

For me, when it comes to combo bass amps, LOUDER wins!

I'd rather have 4db more headroom. I can always EQ tone...

Well, check it out and see, I think you'll be happy with it as is...and they may decide to provide an option for the Orange driver to be available down the line...

You may be right RevGroove.

While the orange is more sensitive, the green has a better Xmax.

I suppose the only way to know which is better would be to A/B them both with a passive 5-string.

Does anyone know where the new Traynor DB300, DB300T, and TC112 are made?

I'm aware that most electronic components are made in the far East. My concern is with the quality of their cabinetry.

Here in Canada we've known about and used Traynor and Yorkville for many years. The general consensus is we like it a lot. It's available in the US too but still a bit harder to find there. Great quality, reliability and sound for the money. And mostly made in Canada. In the last few years Traynor has been updating their line and coming out with even better products.

Lots of good guitar amps too.
