I recently bought a used guitar amp from GC, their prices were high and the clerk told me that they weren’t selling anything at less than the tagged price. It almost sounded like they were being watched closely by management to make certain they didn’t. In the past, GC always seemed like they wanted to crank out products.I don’t think that’s true any longer

I once looked at a brand new Taylor acoustic guitar at GC that had a substantial hole punched in the upper bout. Looked like somebody took a screwdriver and an hammer and punched it in. Out of curiosity I asked how much they would discount it. The answer was 10%.
