You haven't lived until you.........?

Shoot, that's the easy part. Living is when you go through a near-suicidal depression after having you're heart broken into a million pieces and then getting over it only after a long time and an addiction to opiates that you kick.

Also; selling your soul to rock'n'roll.

Ive been there, minus the opiates.

Living is when youve been through all that and you can still love.

And I dont mean "love" in the romantic-relationship sense.

seen Metallica twice(got a newsted pick first time) Have amotorcycle, never dont mom and daughter but had sisters and one was lesbian, fallen in love, besides.all that stuff i would say you've never lived till you've held your child for the first time or done something for someome in need knowing they could never do the same for you.

Several thoughts ideas:

1. Dying to self is key, in my estimation. It frees one from the pursuit of the "things" of this earth, which are meaningless.

2. Being in stage and in the groove is definitely a rush!

3. Apogee. The furthest extent. Any experience that's important to you, stripped away of all dross, focused to its absolute essence. The extreme bleeding edge of whatever THAT is.

4. There's nothing I've experienced that brought me life more than my relationship with Jesus Christ, and holding my children in my arms. There's that special moment late in the evening or early in the morning when I'm in prayer AND holding my 5 year old son in my arms that just brings a level of joy, contentment and fulfillment like no other.

You and your best mate have been refused entry to an underground Rock club (literally underground, under Tottenham Court rd tube), for being too drunk, so you go behind the Astoria and swap clothes in an ill advised attempt to bamboozle the doormen.

To help paint the picture, I am 6'1" and my mate is 6'10".
He looked like he was wearing a 7 year olds clothes and I looked like I was wearing my dads.

You haven't lived until you've damn near died!

I think this is it.
I had an experience where I was certain I was going to die. I had a few seconds to think about, accept it... and then I just got smashed up pretty good... But not dead.

27 years of issues, drama, and BS, got resolved in 5 seconds. I dropped a lot of burdens.

Yeah, or maybe I didn't START living until I damn near died!
