You just won the lottery

If I could have 1 bass only....

I would ask this guy to build me one of these....but in black, matching headstock, and veneer board, with ashtray and pickup cover...mutes and all.

C'mon the guy winds his pickups!

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to double-take the bottom of page 5 when he stated that he makes his own capacitors.....still reading

that thread also made me realize how dumb and talentless I am....

100 million dollars? easy i would have a custom jazz made, all metal parts from Damascus steel( then gilded in platinum) nut would be t rex bone, wood some type of rare wood that there is only one tree thats ever been found, pink diamond inlays, titanium frets. then custom pups made( one of a kind of course) then kill the guy who made them so he could never make another pair. and then with the rest buy an elephant just cuz elephants are cool

Now THAT sir, is some 'friggin funny stuff!
Thank you for making my morning :D

I'd give Carey Nordstrand a call.

Something along the lines of this.

I've never seen so much attention to details, ever. I thought there were some crazy ocd builders in TB, but i have only read up until where he starts working the neck and i'm already in shock.

That guy is pretty crazy! IMHO $5200 is a lot of dough for a jazz bass copy....but this is probably the CLOSEST you can get to the real thing....All is left is a correct F decal, stamp the neck, and serial the neck plate...you could fool EVERYONE!

I would love one if I had the money!

You guys should look at the Relic'd shell pink this guy has with an original 62 fender jazz neck....it looks the boobies! :hiding:

I'd go for a Spartan/minimalist Dingwall Primary Artist.

"Minimalist" in thia case meaning with maple neck & fretboard (with stainless frets) walnut body with figured walnut top, active buffered blend, and no volume or EQ.

YES,

ONE bass? Hmm.....

First, stock and real estate investments. Second, European vacation. Third, house. Fourth, car. Finally, custom bass. Either a custom Warwick SSII (Yes, Warwick can be kind of a ripoff, but when you've got $100 million it's pretty irrelevant), MTD 535, or Stambaugh Custom.

Or all 3, because when you have that much dough why limit yourself to only one?

Custom order from Ric (I imagine they'd listen to someone with a ridiculous amount of cash):
4003 body
White, black binding
Neck to Jazz dimensions
Ebony FB
Toaster pup
Jazz neck pup
Split P pup
Ric bridge pup
Regular Ric hardware, but in black
