You know you are getting old when.....

You say b5 and everyone else says #11.

They ask you to play walking lines and you ask for sheet music with figured bass.

You still read off paper. No electronic gizmos in sight.

Your load in dolley hooks to a hover around.

You have special prescription glasses for sight reading.

Your gig rig is a class D, a 1x10 and an extension cord.

When your elementary aged kid's schoolmates think you are her grandfather. And your kid laughs about it.
AARP starts sending you coupons unsolicited.
Ha! My grandmother signed me up for AARP when I was in my early 20's for some reason only known to her. My whole family has laughed about that for 25 years now, pretty soon I'll be old enough to actually use it thanks Grams!

I started getting the AARP mailings at age 50, and discarded them without a second thought for years. Then one day I noticed the benefits...mostly 10-15% discounts at a handful of restaurants I frequent. And that's off the total check...not just my meal. When I took the family & grandkids to San Diego a few months ago, that AARP card saved me over $60 during that weekend alone. (Membership is only $16 or so per year.)
