"You look like a bass player"

I don't really think bass players look a certain way. I know quite a few, and everyone is totally different except for one who's fairly close to me. I'm 6'3.6" (or 192 centimeters as we use in Easyland) and skinny, and unlike most bass players my hands and fingers are really, really small. Another bassist I know is just like 5'4.5", so a 4 string bass looks huge on him.

Funny story. This was just a couple of weeks ago. The wife and I went for a drive in the convertible on a lovely Spring day. We decided to drive up to a Bar at a Country store 30-40 miles away that has music on some Sundays. We weren't really expecting anything but getting a beer and continuing with our drive.
When we walked in a band was setting up. When I asked the owner (a friend) who's playing? He says the Roseland Hunters. Having never heard of them I wasn't expecting too much. Soon after one of the guys setting up came up and started talking to us. and joking around. I asked him what he played not having paid any attention to who was setting up what. I asked what type of music they played and he said The Funky Meters meets SRV. I said that sounds cool we'll stay for a couple of tunes. Then a couple of the other guys in the band came over as well and we chatted for awhile. Then I asked what they played and someone said guess so I looked them over and told the Shorter guy with a Gotee "you look like a Bass player he laughs and says yes I am. I asked what kind of Bass he was playing and he said Skold (pronounced Shold !) I didn't know that. I said wow never played one and he says come check it out. I say my name is Kirk Bryant what's yours? He says Damian Erskin. Oh crap I wanted to climb under a rock!
He let me play his Bass and was the nicest guy you ever met. Totally cool and we hung out all night and talked on every break. Oh and the band SLAMMED funky blues all night. The dance floor was packed all night. Just a great time all around.

If any of you guys are in my area you owe it to yourself to go see these guys!

I've also heard that the bass player is mostly 'the intellectual' of the band...

I usually get tagged as a bassist for this reason--not based on actual intelligence, but what I like to call a "recovering English Major" look.

But I'm about 5'8"/145, no more than some scruff and a somewhat conservative hair-do. Our guitarist is a 6'2" former high school Tight End, with longish, curly hair and a beard. I'd not be surprised if we were commonly mistaken as the other instrumentalist. (I'm on the left in this pic)

5 feet 6 inches, female, no stupid hats...don't think I fit the bill.

Regardless, I'll play the "Who's the bassist," game.

A BACKSTORY YOU CAN PASS OVER
This is not my group (obviously); it's actually my ex-neighbor's band. He's in his later twenties, but his younger brother's only about three years my senior, so when we lived near each other we hung out, and he even got me interested in playing guitar. Now we live within half an hour to them, and the band plays local shows.

THE ACTUAL GAME
So, who's the bassist?

Not sure if I should reveal yet who's who...might wait for more responses.

I will say the first time I saw this particular lineup of the band (they've changed a bit since first forming), I thought it was #3 because of my bassist stereotypes (big guy, beard)...

I actually wore a scarf when I was a lead singer/rhythm guitarist... funny. No silly hats on stage ever, even as a bassist. I have a beard/goatee, introverted, about 6' and 165lbs... I dress pretty normally, just a t shirt or button up shirt and jeans.
