so what is your basses "name" and how did it get that name

if you wsh you may post pics of said basses (im not fussy)

so come on lets hear them

I have always named my basses and my Harley's. This girl is named Sarah and she is coming up on her 23rd bday. Don't remember exactly why I came up with that name.

I named my bass "Avery".

I used that bass to play in a band called "Pillar of Autumn".

With that band, we won a guitar, which we named "Keyes"

If you can link the three together, you are a class A nerd :D

I have called my basses a POS due to my consistent ability to make 1 stupid mistake when the rest of the rhythm section cuts a perfect track but have never given them a name!

im a big fan on the band cap'n jazz

+1!

On topic:

Aria Pro II RSB Medium-II: Avi, just seemed like a good name...

Ibanez GSR100: Kazam, has a sticker made by local artist Kazam.

Beatle-bass copy: Jasper, seemed like a good name for an old bass...

OLP MM2*: Oliver Livingstrom-Percival, check the initials...

Fender Cyclone (guitar)
: Kim, after Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth

Fernandes Atlas 4X
: No name yet, we'll see...

*Oliver is for sale, so he'll probably be renamed when he gets a new owner :crying:... Maybe they'll just change his last name, like an adoption sort of thing :p?

I have a Westone Spectrum DX bass called 'Old Faithful' - I've had it since 1988 and it's extremely rugged and reliable. I also have a very cheap Wesley bass that's called 'Not Pink' - when it was given to me it was pink, but that's all gone now (and I'm using bits of it to make cheap and cheerful custom bass) :)
