Currently working on a Bruce Thomas-like P bass with a mild relic. Have a lightweight body, Nate M neck, Gotoh Res-o-lite tuners(aged) and a tort guard. Removed the finish from the neck and may send it out to MJT to finish. Can't wait to finish that one but the Holidays have drained me financially at the moment.
Also concurrently working on a Fretless Jazz. Squire black body, Squire VM fretless neck. I had a Vintage Modified fretless once and kind of dug the neck on it. Giving this one a black pickguard also. Still not sure what pickups I am going to drop in this one. Depending on the pickup, I may need to mod the pup or body to fit it. (Squire, ya know). I think it will be a cool looking fretless and might just permit me to leave the Fender Jaco J at home once in a while.
Finally, I have started on an exact replica of a 1951 Precision. This one was started a couple years ago but stalled out due to some life BS. At the moment I have all the hardware including a bakelite-like 2 saddle bridge. I also have the pickups and decal. This one will be a slight relic also. It will have the larger period correct string ferrules and I am hoping to find someone to stamp the "Fender PAT PENDING....serial number"
That last part may be a problem as I have been looking for a pre-stamped bridge plate OR someone to do this for the past couple years and have not had any luck yet.
Anyway that is what I have cookin'.
