Your favorite 6x10 cab amongst these?

I really love my Mesa PH610 but would love to try a Berg 610 to see what all of the fuss is about.

Breaks my heart to say that the NV610 is out of production, although there was a final run of 24 NV610T cabs (T for tweeter), and some of those might still be available. There's the used market of course, but that doesn't give much option for trying before buying.

If you love your Mesa PH610, the NV610 might not be for you. The NV610 is very close to the vintage Ampeg 8x10... point being, it's a sealed cab (no ports), and there's no tweeter. So it'll sound very different from the PH.

Yeah, it really is a shame these cabs are out of production. I only had experience with a dark era ampeg 810 and have heard that the newer cabs are much better. Although I love my Mesa I've heard that the bergs sound better then the new ampegs and that sounds pretty tempting to me.

I doubt I'll ever get to find one locally but I'll always keep my eyes open.

I owned and used the Mesa PH 610 for about a year and a half. It was a pretty solid cab. Great clear and tight sound/tone. Only complaint was the weight at 134lbs, but that's what you get with most bigger cabs. A real workhorse and I regret selling it but at the time I had to.

I own the Berg NV610. I own a Fender 810 Neo. I own Epifani UL410. I own the Genz Benz 410 and 212. Not sure at all what you guys love so much about the Berg? It has no highs, Doesn't seen very loud. and not a lot of lows. The Ampeg and Fender seem better to me.

I voted SWR because of familiarity. Berg is popular but there isn't one anywhere close I would be able to try out. I know Eden is good stuff, but they're hard to find where I live also. I wouldn't think twice on a Mesa though, because they're quality built and will last a very long time.
