Your Favorite Bass Body Shapes

I'm not going to vote because I have a few favourites. Those are, in no particular order:

- Fender Jazz
- Gibson Thunderbird
- Gibson Les Paul
- Rickenbacker 4000

I also like the Iceman Body shape...hell I'm a sucker for binding on bodies...and necks....Bass Bondage?

I am curious to know what everyone's favorite body shapes are here at TB.

I know a poll isn't the best way to describe the more idiosyncratic body shapes, so if you vote for the "other" category, please explain the shape, or better yet, post pictures!

My apologies if I missed any standard shapes on the poll.

Playing and looking are two different things. I have trouble sitting and playing some axes, like the Gibson Ripper with its big hiney.

Visually, I've always thought basses like T-Birds looked really cool, although are a bit painful for me. Heck, I think most neck divers look cool.

My favorite for playing is the Cirrus/Millennium and CB Ball shape. They may look about as non-traditional as you can get, but I'll take the comfort and balance any day of the week.

Other. I always will love the BC Rich Wave Bass. It has such a cool look to it, and especially evil somehow since it was immortalized by Tom Araya's earlier years...

I'm rather partial to either the B.C.Rich Virgin, or the Warwick Vampyre. If the B.C. Rich made a fretless virgin bass I'd definatley pop that cherry. sorry I know that was stupid and corny as hell but i couldn't help my self

If you like the Virgin shape, you should definitely check out Moser Custom Shop. Neal (Moser) is the guy who designed the Virgin. It's based on his Scythe shape, and was licensed to BC Rich back in the late 80s when Class Axe had the license to manufacture BC Rich guitars and basses. Anyway, I digress. I really like Scotty's (Redeemer Basses) singlcut, the more "normal" one. For double cuts, Roscoe.

I like my Ken Lawrence Brace for how it sits...some guys may not like the singlecut thing but put this bass on a strap and you will get it...it sits perfectly, I also really like my mollerup fretless 5 for the same reason..There is something about a bass made by guys who are out gigging themselves...

Warmoth Dinky Js. Wish they made a Dinky P. G&L's LB 1000 has a nice, P-like shape, but a bit smaller.

Thought I'd seen mention of Dinky Ps on their site...
