The Rolling Stones in Regina SK last thanksgiving, it was amazing, clear night with a full moon, Mick and the boys killed it, one of the greatest 2 hours of my life.

Rush in Calgary last month is a really close second

Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings are right behind them

Hopefully it will be Southaven, Ms. on 8/24/2007 - Fuel, Seether, Saliva. . . . . I have an "all access" pass through a friend. I hope that some time in the tour buss will make this the best concert that I have been to in a LONG time.

This was long before I started freaking out being in large crowds, and didn't care crap about being too close to loud amps...

- Alice Cooper "Killer" tour 1972 -Raleigh N.C. (N.C. State Univ)

The show in my mind was transparently flawless. I knew the Killer LP inside and out by that time. Micheal Bruce and the boys were totally dialed-in that night. I never saw such beautiful musical equipment.. and very impressive PA mix too.

Very impressive lists up here...I'm somewhat of a "youngin'" and I've only started going to shows in the last 2 years or so...here's 2 that I very thoroughly enjoyed...

1-The first time I saw the Whalers. It was New Years Eve 2 years ago I believe, at the Norva in Norfolk...they put on a great show. The crowd was wonderful, no problems...just good times.

2-This one really surprised me, it was a Pink Floyd Tribute band called The Machine. Those guys are amazing musicians and put on an excellent show....I've never been a fan of tribute bands but I very much enjoyed this one...the light show was...ahhh.

Too many to pick one.

Pantera in July 2001. So Glad I got to see them before they broke up and of course Dimebag's death.

Cannibal Corpse / Napalm Death / Macabre / Kataklysm in November 2004. Cannibal Corpse dedicated a song to my friends and I for traveling 18 hours for the show.

Opeth / Dark Tranquillity / Napalm Death in March 2006. I consider this one show but they were really two shows on back to back nights. Opeth was unreal as always. It was my third time seeing them but only the first full show I saw them do. I had a few beers with the guys from Dark Tranquillity after their set.

Nine Inch Nails in November 2005. Jaw dropping how amazing of a show they put on.

Slayer in February and September 2002. Two times in one year for one of the greatest metal performers on the planet.

Meshuggah in October 2002. They opened for Tool. Not a huge Tool fan but my friends are so it worked out perfectly. They were so tight it blew my mind.

Last but not least.... Rush in July 2007. Dear lord was that a great show.

There's a band here in Houston called Million Year Dance. They put on an incredible show.

The best large show I've been to would have to be well...I haven't been to that many. the SOAD show was pretty good.

I'm seeing Rush on Tuesday. Bet that wins!

This thread needs to be resurrected.

My stepfather is a HUGE Jeff Beck fan and sees him whenever he comes to town. But back in 1989 it was an especially good show.

"The Fire Meets the Fury" - Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughn at Arco Arena in Sacramento. I was just a kid but I still remember that concert vividly. Good stuff.

And it may have been the last major tour of SRV's life. I'm glad I got to see him. What an inspiring musician.

The best show ever was Pink Floyd Animals tour at Cleveland stadium

When they opened they had a full size jet fly really low over the stadium just as they started to play, Huge inflatable pig, exploding parachutes that turned into floating big sheep. Amazing show of over 80,000 people.

No one will ever be able to do a show like that ever again. It would just be way too expensive today.


Musically I would say Tony Williams "Believe it" tour with Allan Holdsworth, the Dregs, Billy Cobham Magic Tour, & Brand X with Percy Jones.

Radiohead on the Hail To The Thief tour.Amazing show.
Rage Against the Machine at Coachella festival this year.Flew all the way from Ireland to see them!
The Prodigy.Just a great live act.Spent the whole night dancing like crazy.
Deftones-Small show with less than 1000 eople there.Amazing.Plus I met the band in a bar after!

Honourable mentions include- Incubus,Peeping Tom,Queens of the Stone Age(twice),Kings of Leon,Arctic Monkeys,Metallica,Bela Fleck,Damien Rice, The Frames
