Abe Rivera Custom 5 string fretless (built in 1987-88).

Yes, this was built by the same Abe Rivera that built the bass Jaco used in his instructional video (that belonged to Jerry Jemott).

I didn't vote in the poll because it didn't allow multiple entries; for me personally it's a dead-heat tie between the Pedulla Buzz and the Rob Allen MB-2

...buy COT DAYUM there are some hot basses pictured in this thread!

That Carvin with the birdseye maple fingerboard is magnificent. I am a relative newbie to FL,and i have a cheap Yamaha that i replaced the p bass pickup with a lollar unit, and strung with Fender tapewounds, it actually sounds great! I've had an '82 Ibanez Musician FL on loan for a month, its very nice, but not very "live" sounding. I would love to have a Ric 4004 (Laredo or Cii) in fretless.

Ok not sure if I am qualified to vote as I don't, nor have I ever owned a fretless. Someday I will though. Anyways, I voted Fender Jazz. I have played a few fretless at the music stores and the majority of those that I have tried were Fender Jazz. Also Jaco played a Fretless Jazz. So that is why I voted that way. However that could change in the future if I have the opertunity to try other brands :)

i voted for the fender jazz, although was tempted to vote for the pedulla buzz.
the buzz bass is an amazing fretless instrument.

the jazz bass is appropriate for all types of music, and is my goto bass.
that's why i voted for the fretless jazz.

Of all the ones I've had the Warwick with the East pre was by far the best, really nothing has come close. Unlined fretboards and I don't mix well though unfortunately. If I had it back I think I would devote the time to it, it was a superb instrument.
