Your favorite P/J?

I am very much in love with my MIM P Deluxe:

P body, J neck, split P at the mid, noiseless J at the bridge Active circuits with volume, pup blend, treble boost/cut, bass boost/cut, mid boost/cut. Bridge as standard isn't my cup of tea so it got a Gotoh:

Never tried hi-end P/J basses, but I surely enjoy my 1992 Fender P-Plus!

She's got Lace Sensors on and in spite of the lower output (compared to standard Fender pickups) the tone is superb!

My second choice would be the Yamaha BB414 that I had years ago. A bold P/J, juicy, full in the low and low-mids but that still got some "zing" from the J pickup to cut thru the mix.

My Squier Standard P Special is my favorite bass right now. Wanted one ever since I started playing, picked one up about a year ago and I still love the sound of them. I can literally get any tone I want from it (even with the P pickup soloed, which is how I usually run it). I would even go as far as saying the stock pickup is my favorite P pickup (so far.)

These do it for me! All to a purpose.

No one has mentioned the ESP Vintage 4 or ESP/LTD 204. I said I'd never buy a pre reliced bass or guitar, but was gassing heavily for a black /maple neck Vintage 4.

Found a traded in LTD 204 @ GC a few months back, traded a coupla 6 strings not being used and am loving it.

It was already modded with a '62 p pickup, a Duncan Vintage jazz, cts pots, brass saddles on stock bridge, electro socket jack and a tort guard. Black with maple, as I wanted on the Vintage 4.

I'm a died in the wool Fender guy with 3 jazzes and a classic 50s p, but this bass is becoming my go to more often than not.
