Your favorite pickup configuration

A single soapbar, exactly halfway between the typical bridge position and the "sweet spot".

Here's my example:

That Gecko is awesome! Very (very) similar to one of my works-in-progress.

Do you have any sound examples of that, or any other with the pickup in that location? I've been seriously toying with the idea of a single split-coil (probably a Bartolini P2) in the "Anthony Jackson" location, which is more or less between the "P" and "MM" positions (compensated for scale). Yours is interesting, too.

I'm also considering 2 soapbars (Basslines Passives) in the P and MM locations. I haven't decided, but it's holding me up, so I'm gonna have to decide real soon.

I like p basses alot to me they sound perfect... thump but very grindy. I love the mm humbucker tone but dont like stingrays for their almost baseball bat like neck. All my p basses have been modded with j necks though. or had the neck slimmed down alittle. I like pj basses but it seems like the p pickup always over powers the j pickup
